Programming committee

Programming Committee Members – Expressions of Interest


 The Board is intending to review the current Programming Committee duties and responsibilities. The Chair of the Committee is a member of the Board and reports back to the Board the actions and/or requests of the Committee. The Committee meets once monthly, at a day and time which is to be decided.


The Programming Committee is responsible for:

a) Ensuring that overall VOX FM programming complies with the Station’s Promise of Performance.

b) Ensuring that broadcasters and program content comply with the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia’s Codes of Practice and the Station’s Policies and Procedures Document.

c) Ensuring that broadcasters maintain a level of quality of programming in terms of their presentation and content.

d) Ensuring that presenters and program content fulfil the conditions of their Presenters’ Agreement and Programming Agreement.

e) Ensuring not one presenter and/or group are over represented in regards to their program times.

f) The management of training of new presenters.

g) Handling of complaints against programs.

h) Finding replacements for presenters unable to continue with their program. However under 3.8 of the Constitution(page 8) the Executive has the right to determine who should have training. A member rejected for training has the right to appeal to a regular meeting of the Board.


The Programming Committee works in a constructive manner with the Board, by providing advice and assistance, so it can meet its broad aims and objectives of serving our community, as per the Promise of Performance of VOX FM.


There are seven positions on the Programming Committee as well as the Chair, who, at this stage is appointed by the Board. All positions are voluntary.
