Col Millington - The first fleet CD has arrived at Vox FM

Just in time for Australia Day, we have received the brand new CD from Col Millington (Australiana music, folk, Adult contemporary) This is a great resource for Australia Day on the 26th January. The CD is available in the library filed in the M section.

The album will be placed on the Vox FM computer system on Tuesday 22nd January 2019 in the new music folder on the desktop of the studio's computers.

More information about this CD from Col Millington:

"This is my new album "The First Fleet", songs of Australia.

I am not a political person, simply a humbled Australian Songwriter Recording Artist. I have targeted the 16 Original songs on this album for airplay on and around Australia Day, but little did I know, there weould be so much controversy over Australia Day I am finding it hard to comprehend and gain recognition or airplay for my song "The First Fleet", it appears to have become a political football.

Since 1788 Australia has been the fastest growing nation in the World, it was settled by the English and has since invited other countries across the globe to join us and help us grow.

As many of you know, I am a songwriter of some 45 years and this collection of 17 original songs (including our National Anthem), is simply about Australia, its bushrangers, towns and places.

It is not necessary for this collection of my original songs to be played on the 26th of January; they can be played on any day of the year, but it would be great to have some played on the 26th. There are 6 video clips of songs from this album being released on my Facebook page and Youtube over the month of January. If you are friends with me on Facebook please share them.

As in the past I would greatly appreciate what ever airplay and help you can give me in the promotion of this album. Most of you have been playing my songs for any years, please, don't stop now.

Wishing you all a wonderful 2019

Kind regards, Col Millington.
